Do you think wall-to-wall carpet is an option?
Although the furry floor covering may evoke a 1970s movie set, it is a modern interior design trend that will be rediscovered. Wall-to-wall carpet has been a rising star in fashion-forward apartments and chic nightclubs.
Wall-to-wall carpeting has suffered in recent decades. This is why it is often ripped out of rooms when renovations are underway to reveal pristine hardwood floors underneath. Carpeting is often criticized for its outdated colors and wear-and-tear. It also has the challenge of maintaining its pristine condition. It was a popular choice for wall-to-wall carpeting in the 1950s thanks to the introduction of synthetic fibers by DuPont researchers. Carpeting was a great way to add color and comfort to postwar homes and provide a comfortable surface for people to relax or play on.
