Hallway Bathroom Update: Back To The Drawing Board For Shower Curtain Fabric

I’m currently juggling a few projects at the moment, namely the front porch and a studio project. Unfortunately the weather has taken a turn for the worse so I won’t be able to work on the porch for a few days. As a result, I’ll be shifting my focus to the studio for the time being.

At the same time, I’m also making plans to give the hallway bathroom a much-needed makeover. While this project isn’t the highest on my priority list, I still want to get everything ready so that I can use it as a break from the studio project when the time comes.

So far, I’ve decided on a few updates to make, including a new shower curtain, vanity color, and countertop. I had originally planned on using a certain fabric for the shower curtain, but it’s since been discontinued and I haven’t been able to find any remaining stock.

I’ve gone back to the drawing board and have come across some great contenders. I particularly like a watercolor floral print I found on Spoonflower that would look great in our house. It has a variety of colors to choose from, and I especially like the first one I found – it has a happy, colorful design without being too childish.

In addition to the fabric, I also managed to get some new flower sconces for the bathroom. Now I just need to figure out how to make them look like hand sculpted plaster. I’m thinking I’ll need to get some air dry Sculpey clay in order to accomplish this.

With the front porch project taking priority, I’m mostly focusing my attention on that at the moment. But on days when the weather isn’t ideal, I’ll also be using this time to prepare for the bathroom updates. That way, I can make use of the project as a break from the studio when the time comes.
