Are you ready for a wallpaper revival? This peel-and-stick wallpaper can give your home the ultimate facelift with little mess.

Wallpaper accent walls are all the rage at the moment, and there’s a good reason. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is easy to install, easy to remove (goodbye goopy remover and clunky steamers) and can add a touch of personalization to a flat space.

Tempaper has launched its newest collaboration with She She, featuring colorful illustrations for a home office, bedroom or kid’s room. This premium peel-and-stick wallpaper, thick and durable, comes with a slick application squeegee tool. It features a strong adhesive so you can line up the paper exactly how you want it without the edges peeling.

What is Tempaper Peel and Stick Wallpaper?

The Tempaper X She She Peel-And-Stick (removable) wallpaper is an alternative to your messy water- and glue-based wallpaper. The paper’s adhesive back will not leave residue or damage your wall or paint, whether you keep it up for one month or five years. The wallpaper adheres to any smooth surface — walls, stair risers, bookcases and more.

Tempaper X She She offers six water-based ink printed designs, inspired by the designers’ travels to the “wild and humble island of Curacao” in the Dutch Caribbean.

How We Tested It

The wallpaper came in a tight tube, with each matte finish vinyl coated roll weighing around three pounds. The packaging clearly states the dimensions (20-1/2-in. wide x 11 yds. long), vertical pattern repeat and square footage covered (56.37).

Clear instructions include recommendations on prepping your wall, surfaces to avoid, tools you’ll need for install, application steps and how to remove. The box also includes a felt-covered squeegee for removing bubbles during application.

The weight of the rolls makes the paper cumbersome to maneuver. I measured the length of the wall and pre-cut the roll to make it more manageable. I hung the wallpaper on a smooth eggshell painted wall, after cleaning the surface with an isopropyl alcohol and water solution (1:1 ratio) per the instructions.

The adhesive is really strong, so rectifying a mistake took some muscle to peel off and restick. But even with force, the paper did not rip or stretch. The weight of the heavy-duty paper eliminated a lot of bubbles on its own, and with the felt squeegee I smoothed out any last air pockets.

The patterns do pose the challenge of aligning designs, so make sure you overestimate the amount of wallpaper you need. I had about 10 sq. ft. left over because of extra waste from aligning the patterns.

To my delight, five days after putting it up, all edges remained firmly intact. To remove, I just picked a corner and the sheet came off in full without removing any paint, as promised. I did spritz some Goo Gone on the wall and wiped it off with soap and water to ensure no residue remained.

Playing with colors and patterns gives a room dimension and depth and adds character. A wallpaper accent wall is an affordable way to breathe new life into a stagnant room.

Although it takes some getting used to, you should be able to complete one roll in about one to two hours. Again, if you’re ordering a pattern, best to overestimate square footage to ensure you have enough.

Pros:

  • Flexible adhesive for repositioning to quickly correct mistakes.

  • Strong adhesive ensures edges don’t peel.

  • Manufactured in the U.S.

  • ASTM Class A fire rating for lowest flame spread and minimal smoke development.

  • FDA and Certified Child Toy Safety approved.

  • Tested and certified to be free of lead, phthalates and VOC emissions.

Cons:

  • Lining up patterns can be tedious.

  • It’s heavy and can be hard to maneuver on your own.

  • It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for!
